Motherhood

Motherhood is the best job in the world….others might say it is a role which comes with highs and lows, joy, heartache, fatigue, stress, inadequacy, and worry. Sound familiar? I am sure you can come up with some other choice words to describe your position.

There are times when we operate behind the scenes. However, a Mother’s job is the most important one we will ever do.

I heard a sweet nugget of truth at church this weekend...”Mothers are incredible, yet sometimes invisible.(Mark McClelland, 2016)

Partnering with Jesus to raise our children makes us more than adequate.

Have you ever felt invisible as a Mother?

Do you wonder if your kids realize the mass amount of work, blood, and sweat that is dedicated to their well-being? Can they fathom the tears we have shed on their behalf?

In spite of the invisibility, God made Mothers incredibly influential in the lives of our children.

Below, I will share 5 awesome reasons why Motherhood is the best job in the world.

  • A Mother’s provision of a relationship with Jesus Christ secures a child’s eternal destination.
  • A Mother’s prayers affect change for a lifetime and beyond.
  • God gave Mothers powerful influence in the development of a child’s character.
  • Witnessing a child’s growth milestones yields great joy.
  •  Partnering with Jesus to raise our children makes us more than adequate.

We Don’t Have to Do It Alone

The blessing of being a Mother is we don’t have to do it alone. Whether we are married or not…. Jesus is with us every step of the way.

Proverbs 31:26-28~She speaks wisely. She teaches faithfully. She watches over family matters. She is busy all the time. Her children stand up and call her blessed. Her husband also rises up, and he praises her.
